We use the internet in all aspects of our lives; at home, in school, at work, for entertainment, for commuting, for shopping and many other personal reasons. Yet very few of us really understand how the internet came into being, and its potential now and in the near future.
As a wise man once said, “in order to have foresight, there is the need to have a hindsight”. In other words, to understand the present and more importantly, the future, there is the need to know what has already taken place.
This statement does not apply only in business, or in politics, but in all aspects of our lives. A relatable instance is the way you respond to certain situations as a result of your past experience.
It is for this reason, we have decided to dedicate the introductory section of our website to emphasise on the importance of knowing the history of the internet before setting out to discuss how the usage of this powerful technology is applied in different parts of the world.
